If you didn’t already know, my band has a new split out. This is one of the tracks. I do some vocals on it.
The other band on’t split, Boston Manor, are playing in Fallowfield tonight. Go there.

My favourite movie poster ever is from a super low-rent 1978 Samantha Fox porno.
The movie is fairly standard porn for the era, but that poster image is so wonderful. Every time I see it, I instantly want to watch the movie.
"Most people have a certain understanding of what a horror film is, namely, that it is emotionally juvenile, ignorant, supremely non-intellectual and dumb. Basically stupid. But I think of horror films as art, as films of confrontation. Films that make you confront aspects of your own life that are difficult to face. Just because you’re making a horror film doesn’t mean you can’t make an artful film. Tell me the difference between someone’s favourite horror film and someone else’s favourite art film. There really isn’t any. Emotion, imagery, intellect, your own sense of self."
- David Cronenberg (from Cronenberg on Cronenberg)
After conducting an interview with this happy fella a few weeks ago, I have spent the past couple of days writing an essay about him and his impact of modern genre filmmaking. I’ve finally finished it, just need to give it a rest for today and a little polish in the morning.
I’ll have more news once I hear back from the editor but this should be hitting newsstands worldwide pretty soon.
Posters for the movies from Seinfeld.
I love these so much more than I should. I can’t believe it took until August of 2013 for to make this happen. Based on posters alone I would see Check Mate, Prognosis Negative, Death Blow, and Rochelle Rochelle (obviously).
Cry, Cry Again is obviously Oscar bait, and Chunnel looks like garbage. I bet the converted it to 3D in post.
